pelican love

saw an amazing amount of brown pelicans this year...here above, just chillin' at cannery row and below -- flying in large groups up along the mendocino coast....there they fly by so fast and so unexpectedly they are hard to photograph....

and skimming the water along the monterey bay....flying so low it looks like they will catch a wave....
